Disclaimer: This is a purely unofficial, not for profit fan project that I wanted to share with the Reverse: 1999 community. I am not affiliated with Bluepoch, and I make no claim to the name or setting of Reverse: 1999, nor do I seek to make any profit from this system. Any commercial distribution to anyone under any circumstances is strictly prohibited.

On the last day of 1999, the Storm fell upon the world. Defying all reason, what unfolds before the survivors is the world of an era long past.

The Unofficial Reverse: 1999 TRPG is an original tabletop role-playing system heavily inspired by Bluepoch's Reverse: 1999. In this system, you play as an arcanist — someone who have the inherent ability to wield the arcane since birth, filtered through their unique personal lens.

Whether you're a long-time fan or someone who just recently played the game, this game hopes to consolidate the setting and lore in a digestible and spoiler-free way.

What's included inside:

  • Lightweight system that can be easily read and understood in a few hours. It can be pitched and taught in the same day. There are no complex subsystems or heavy mechanics to wade through. You can already make a character as soon as you finish reading.
  • Narrative-first character creation system that uses themebooks and tags to define your character's abilities and capabilities. There are no predefined stats, giving you the freedom to make create your character as you wish.
  • Universal dice system that allows for both group and solo play. 3 dice is all you need to start playing. Leveraging your character's tags will help give consistent results, but there is still always the change for an unexpected mishap.
  • Short reference sections for those looking to get a good grasp of the general lore of Reverse: 1999. While not all information is up-to-date (especially to avoid spoilers), this compiles as much information as possible to help you create characters, scenarios, and conflicts within the world of the game.

Finally, Reverse 1999! There's a handful of Project Moons, a couple of Fate, and even a Chainsaw Man. I was originally planning on using Tricube Tales for my solo adventure. Thank you for the creation.
